FOOTBALLER’S LOSS
WALLET WITH £7O TAKEN SOUTHAMPTON, May 4. .Following his last match of the season at Burnley op 'Saturday, in which he scored a goal for his side, John Arnold, the Fulham outside-left, discovered that his wallet, containing about £7O in notes, was missing. Speaking of his loss here to-day, on arriving to begin cricket practice with Hampshire, Arnold said that he intended to hand the wallet to somebody Cor safe keeping during the matchn He, was told that the dressing-room doors
at Burnley would be locked,, therefore! he thought it would be safe to leave, the money in his coat pocket. That' was the last he saw of it. He did not: discover his logs until he was on his; way to Preston to catch a train fori London, In addition to the money, most of which was in £5 notes, the wallet contained Arnold’s driving licence and insurance papers.
