ALLISON’S INJURY. [BY CABLE PRESS ASSN. COPYRIGHT.] (Recd. June 17, 10.30 a.m.) LONDON. June 16. The Lawn Tennis Association announces the acceptance of the Australian invitation to send an English women’s team in the winter of 1937-8. Tom Whittaker, trainer of the Arsenal Football Club, has accepted an invitation to train the British Davis Cup representatives. Allison (U.S.A.) dislocated a hipbone, and is unlikely' to play at Wimbledon. The injury is similar to Austin's, whose hip-bone was out of the socket. Austin has nearly recovered, and expects to play at Wimbledon. The Davis Cup inter-zone final will be played on Number one court, Wimbledon, on July 18, 20, 21.
