The Otago Rugby Union wrote statstating that it had been decided to obtain the opinion of Unions, whose teams would be visiting Otago this season, on the question of replacement of injured players in representative matches. The Otago Union was agreeable to replacing players at any stage of the game.—lt was decided to advise the Otago Union, that the West Coast Union was also in favour of the replacement of injured players, at any si age of the game.

On the motion of Messrs Guy and Scott, it was decided that the representative team to meet Canterbury be chosen on Saturday night. The manager of the Greymouth team last Saturday, reported that several members of the team were late in assembling. All the players concerned were town members, and should have been there .earlier. He had even to go to the extent of phoning one player, who said he did not know where the team was assembling. The position was most unsatisfactory to the manager’ of the team, and on Saturday last he had not been able to put a scrum down at 2.25, with the game scheduled to start at 2.45, and the bus waiting to take the players to the ground. Pascoe and the two Olsens. * On the motion, of Messrs Ryan and ' Kyle, it was. decided that managers of I representative teams be empowered to use their discretion in the master of using emergencies to fill the places of players arriving late, without reasonable excuse.

It. was resolved that the representative team to play Buller at Greymouth, on June 27, be chosen after the Can-terbury-West Coast match, on Tuesday next. It was decided in view of the nuisance caused by dogs on the playing area, and among spectators, that no more dogs be allowed on Rugby Park. Mr. W. Williams was appointed manager of the West Coast representative team to play Canterbury, the team to assemble at the Park Hotel at 1.45 p.m. TII9 appointment of captain and vice-captain was referred to the selectors for appointment.
