[BY CABLE—PRESS ABSN. —COPYRIGHT.] MR HUGHES’ INJURY. BRISBANE, June 12. The condition of Mr Hughes, who was injured in the ’plane accident yesterday, is satisfactory. “If I had been a betting man I would cheerfully have given odds at 50 to one against our getting down safely,” he observed in an interview to-day. Mr Hughes is now 71. He insisted on eating a three-course meal and reading a newspaper before allowing a doctor to attend to the fractured collarbone.
