General inference: An intense anticyclone now lies centrally over the Dominion, but pressure is commencing to fall in the south with the advance of a shallow depression across the Tasman Sea.
Forecast: Light to moderate and variable winds, but northerlies later prevailing. Weather fine at first, but clouding over, and later scattered rain developing. Temperatures becoming milder. Seas slight, but later increasing somewhat.
