LEAGUE FOOTBALL

TO-MORROW’S GAMES Three excellent games are promised in the senior League competition tomorrow. Chief interest will be manifest in the first meeting of Blackball and Runanga, at Dunollie. Both of these teams have shown good form, and to-morrow’s match will give an indication of how far each can be expected to go in the competition. Blackball are as yet undefeated, and will be anxious to continue their record. Marist, the other unbeaten team, will meet the improving Brunner team, and on their home ground Brunner should be capable of fully extending the Greens. An interesting struggle is promised at Wingham Park, where Pirates meet Ngahere. On early form these two teams are well matched, and it will be surprising if the scoring is not close. In the junior grade, Kumara meet Blackball, at Blackball, and Pirates meet Runanga, at Wingham Park.
