TYPIST’S NEW TERROR. LONDON, March 21. The typewriter tells tales about the typist. That is the latest discovery of the psychologists. The way you tap th® keys is a key to your own character. All your, little weaknesses and major faults stand exposed for any tyropsychologist to read. After intensive tests, which have just been concluded, the experts have been able to tabulate the main characteristics betrayed in typescript. Neglect of punctuation shows irresponsibility. Striking the wrong neighbouring keys proves no sense of detail. Incomplete use of the shift key, so that capital letters are poorly aligned, means lack of sufficient personal control. Too much and irregular use of abbreviations: Lack of discretion. Missing spaces between words: Inability to think clearly. Extra spaces between wards: Excessive caution, fear, nervousness. Letters jumbled as a result of erratic typing speed: Excitability. Striking the right letters over the wrong ones to correct mistakes indicates a desire to cover up weakness in tho easiest possible way.
