SERIES OF APPOINTMENTS. 1 [per press association.] WELLINGTON, May 7. The Minister of Railways (the Hon. D. G. Sullivan) announces the following staff changes: — Mr. 11. Valentine, Chief Accountant, to be Second Assistant to the Genet al Manager. Mr. W. Bishop. Assistant Chief Accountant, to be Chief Accountant. Mr. S. C. Boyle, Manager of tire Road Motor Services, in future to be titled. Superintendent of Road Services. Mr. F. K. Mackay, Chief Clerk t<>j the General Manager, to be assistant! to Mr. Boyle. I Mr. R. R. Gow, of Hutt, to be bus manager at Dunedin. Mr. W. Rogers, Stationmaster at Christchurch, to be Transport Officer, District Traffic Manager’s Office, Christchurch.
Mr. W. E. McKay, of Dunedin, to be Stat ion master at Christchurch. Mr. .1. Sewers to be Goods Agmit at Christchurch.
Mr. A. L. Smith is confirmed as Chief Clerk 'to the Commercial Manager. Mr. R. J. A. Stirling, Wellington, tU appointed Transport Officer in the Di •- trie! Manager’s Office, Dunedin. Mr. F. G. Craig, Auckland, has been appointed Chief Clerk in the Superintendent of Transportation’s Office. Wellington. ‘ j Mr. C. L. Blaikburn, pending a per-j manent appointment, replaces Mr. Mackay as Chief Clerk to the General Manager. Mr, Sullivan remarks on the retirement of many senior officers in the near future and the importance of taking a reasonably long view so that there will be no lack of experienced men. well equipped, to assume the responsibilities attached to senior positions.
