General inference: The last of the recent series of depressions is passing away eastward, and an intense anti-cyclone is advancing across the North Tasman Sea on to New Zealand. Forecast: Moderate to strong southwesterly winds, decreasing to-morrow. Weather cold and changeable, with a few scattered showers at first, but soon becoming fine. Seas rough, but moderating.
