The “Morning Post’s” political correspondent says: Detailed instructions for the conduct of the Anglo—Egyptian negotiations were sent to the High Commissioner, after a Cabinet meeting, last night, with the request that Sir M. Lampson presses for the adoption of a scheme of Anglo—Egyptian military co-operation, under which the number of British troops, in Egypt would be substantially increased. Sir M. Lampson was also asked, to secure adequate protection for foreign interests and property, and safeguards for Imperial communications, notably the Suez Canal.
