AERO CLUB CARNIVAL. A meeting of the Grey Aero Club Executive was held last evening, when the programme for the. forthcoming carnival was approved. The programme ..contains many novelties, including a shovelling contest and wheelbarrow race for workers on the aerodrome. Two ex-Mayors of the town, too, are to have a shovelling contest. The Club’s plane will be at Greymouth during the afternoon and there will be a height-guessing competition. All classes of sport will be catered for in the way of cycle races, horse events, etc. Amongst the horse events is a sulky race for members of local bodies. Provision has been made for “old crock” motor cars in the procession through the town prior to the Carnival, and also for an “old crocks” contest at the Park. Considerable discussion ensued as to what “old crocks” would' be available. In the cities there are cars going back for probably 30 odd years, but it is doubtful if there are any on the Coast which go back prior to about 1918.
