RACE DAY DRESSES

AT VICTORIA PARK. All roads led to Victoria Park on Saturday, for the first day of the Grey Trotting Club’s Summer meeting. Threatening skies in the morning made many women doubtful as to the most suitable attire, but the optimists carried the dav, as, after luncheon the sun dispelled the dark clouds and the afternoon was sunny and hot. Uncomfortably so for those who had gone prepared for a dull, or perhaps, wet afternoon! The racing was interesting, dividends good, and the unexpected sunshine added to the day s enjoyment.
