TOILET SPECIALIST SUED
WOMAN ALLEGES BURNS. [PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH, December 13. Alleging that she had'been severely burned in several places on her scalp while undergoing hair treating, Ethel Olive Bedeis, a spinster, of Christchurch, claimed £213/3/11 general and special damages from Doreen Burke, toilet specialist, in the Magistrate’s Court to-day. The defendant, Burke, had since married and left the business. The Magistrate. Mr. F. F. Reid, S.M., heard much medical and other evidence, and at the conclusion of the hearing he said that the case was extraordinary, and in view of the conflict of medical witnesses he would take time to consider his decision. There was probably some degree of compensation” in plaintiff’s case, but where it began was difficult to Isay.
