RAILWAY STATION FIRE
LUMSDEN’S SECOND LOSS. [per press association.] INVERCARGILL, November 16. Lumsden railway station, recently rebuilt, was destroyed by fire at 1.15 this morning, for the second time within ten months. The cause is unknown, except that the fire originated in the roof at. the back. The fire was discovered by Bert Humphries, of Lumsden, who accompanied the Minister, Mr. Adam Hamilton and his secretary, Mr. Sherwood, from Balfour, where Mr. Hamilton spoke in the course of his political i campaign. |
