NEW YORK, August 8. The United States players for the Wightman Tennis Cup are: Miss H. Jacobs, Mrs Sarah Palfrey Fabyan, Miss Carolin Babcock, Mrs Dorothy Andrus, Mrs Ethel Barkhardt Arnold, Mrs John Van Ryn. ATHLETICS. WELLINGTON, August 9. A farewell was tendered this afternoon to the New Zealand harriers team prior to their departure for Sydney. Present were members of the Council of the New Zealand A.A.A. and Wellington Centre, also the New Zealand Olympic and British Games Association. Replying on behalf of the team, Mr. C. R. White, manager, said he hoped the mission of himself and Mr. Stevens to establish biennial matches with Australia would be successful. LEAGUE FOOTBALL. Marist juniors v.
