LAWSON’S FLAT The secretary of Lawson’s Flat Gold Sluicing Company, Ltd., reports that for the period from the recommencement of sluicing operations on July 22 up to August 5 the wash-up result,ed in the recovery of 68 ozs. 6 ,dwt. of retorted gold. No further trouble is anticipated with the power and water supply. STAFFORD DREDGE The Stafford dredge report (to July 27) states: Dredge ran 100 hours, 7900 cubic yards, 360 z. smelted gold. Lost 24 hours replacing broken defective main shaft. Yardage reduced by manoeuvring for position. Normal operations resumed. Previous, 12,560 yards for 690 z 13dwt.
