CHARITABLE BEQUESTS
PALMERSTON MAN’S WILL. [PER press association.] PALMERSTON NORTH, August 2. The will of the late Thomas Richard Moore, of Terrace End, who died on July 23, provides the following charitable bequests:— , Collection of Maori curios to such museum as the trustee thinks fit (subject to a prior interest). £5O per anum to All Saints Children’s Home, Palmerston North, for all time. The income on a sum of £5OO in perpetual trust for the Palmerston North Boy Scouts. Prizes'of £5 per annum to >be awarded by the Governors of Christ’s College; Christchurch, for specified branches of learning and sporting events The balance of income from a specified asset for such charitable or educational purposes or institutions in Christchurch City, as the trustee thinks fit. Subject to payment of certain annuities, the following provisions arc to be made from the residue of the estate z £ 500 to St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Palmerston North, subject to the fulfilment of certain conditions. £5OO to the Society for the Health of Women and Children (Palmerston North branch). ' “
£2OOO to Christ’s College to establish a T. R. Moore Scholarship for the best Latin and English scholars. The income from the balance of the residue to bo paid for all time to the Board of Governors of the T. G. McCarthy Trust, for such charitable and educational purposes of institutions in Palmerston North and Napier, in such a manner and in such shares and to such an extent as the Board of Governors thinks fit.
The estate is’very valuable, and the annual income which will be ultimately available for the T. G. Macarthy Trust gift will be considerable.
