REEFTON NOTES

[OUB OWN CORRESPONDENT.] REEFTON, August 3. The junior Waratah Rugby football team left Reefton last night for Westport, where they play a series of games against Buller teams. Mr and Mrs L. W. Walker and family are visiting Mrs J. Osborne, of Reefton. Sister Peters, of the staff of the Inangahua Hospital, who has been On holiday, returned on Thursday evening. Frosts in the district are still heavy, and all this week the weather has been wintry, the worst spell for the season. Fortunately, sunshine from early morning is being enjoyed. The mountain ranges at sundown present a fine sight with their heavy coating of snow turned to all colours by the setting sun. Mr Fred. Jackson, of the New Zealand Division of the Royal Navy, is spending a period of leave with his mother at Inangahua Junction.
