Rinaldi, of the Railways Department, Greymouth, left to-day, on transfer to Christchurch. Mr S. F. Orr, of Waiuta, left this morning, for Auckland, en route to New Guinea. Mr G. T. McAllister left last evening, on a holiday visit to Christchurch. . " Messrs E. H. Allen (President), and A. O. Heaney (Secretary) of the Associated Chambers of Commerce, left to-day, for Christchurch. A Sydney cablegram announced- the death of the Right Reverend S. J. Kirby, Coadjutor-Bishop of the Diocese of Sydney, after a long illness. He was aged fifty-six years. The death is announced by a Paris cablegram of Colonel Alfred Dreyfus. He was'unjustly accused of espionage, and was sentenced to life imprison? ment. An agitation for an inquity ended in his name being cleared, and his return to the. army. . \
