TO-MORROW’S MATCHES. There will be a double feature bill offered by the League code at Wingham Park to-morrow, when two closely-contested games are expected. Feature one is the Bradshaw Cup match, the first of the scries, between Pirates and Blackball. On its showing against Marist last Sunday, the Pirates’ team will probably be favourite. The final match in the junior championship will be played between Kumara and Runanga, also at Wingham Park. .Brunner and Ngahere meet at Ngahere. Ngahere seniors v. Brunner, at Ngahere, Sunday: D. AUSTRALIAN PROPOSALS [ SYDNEY, July 12. Mr Miller, of the N.S.W. Rugby League, interviewed on his arrival back from New Zealand, declared that (he Rugby League code was now flourishing in New Zealand. He, accordingly will recommend to the Australian Board of Control that there be a regular inter-change of visits by representative Australian and Now Zealand teams. Mr Miller will suggest that an Australian team visit New Zealand this year, and play its first match at Christchurch. Afterwards it could play matches at Wellington. Whangarei and Taupiri. Another proposal that ho is advocating will bo the creation of on Australian and New Zealand Board of Control for the League activities as between the two countries. Mr Miller emphasised the great strides that League football is now making in the Dominion. particularly in Auckland. There the standard of play, he said, was becoming very high. Mr Miller's itinerary for the AusItalians is; South Island, at Christ- 1 church; North Island at Wellington - 1 New Zealand, at Auckland. Auckland province at Auckland; Auckland at Auckland; Northland at Whangarei; New Zealand at Auckland, and South Auckland at Taupiri, making eight matches.
