KUMARA NOTES
[OUB OWN CORBESPONDENT.] Mr J. H. Stewart of Dunedin, died suddenly at his home on June 6. Deceased, who was aged 62 years, was manager of the Millbourne Lime and Cement Works, leaves a wife, three daughters and four sons. Recently, the late Mr Stewart accompanied by his wife, paid a visit to Kumara. Mrs Stewart, (formerly Miss Gardiner, of Warrington), is a cousin of Mrs John Stewart, Kumara. The second son of Mr and Mrs Robert Ritchie, aged 10 years, is critically ill in the Westland Hospital. The League Football Concert at the Memorial Hall last evening’, was largely attended. The programme was of a varied nature, every item receiving applause. At the conclusion of the concert, a dance was held.
