BIG BILLIARDS The public of Greymouth have a treat in store owing to the fact that Messrs Walter Lindrum (world s champion) and Clark McConachy (N.Z. champion) will be seen at an exhibi* tion game on Tuesday, June 18, at the Grand Billiard Parlour. Lindrum holds 56 world’s records, and has made over 600 breaks of 1000. His highest break is 4137, his next 3905 and 3262. .Some idea of the speed with which this genius piles up his mammoth breaks can be gained by the fact that his break of 4137 was run up ill 3 hours 9 minutes. Clark McConachy, the brilliant New Zealander, is very close to Lindrum’s class. He has competed in four world’s championships and was runner-up to Joe Davis (English champion). He held the worlds record break of 1927 under the baulkline rule. This was recently broken by Davis with a break of 2003, but both Lindrum and McConachy hope to beat it on their present tour. The game will be played under the baulkline rule., ■
