HOKITIKA, June 15.
A decision to revive the Caledonian Society was made at a meeting held in St. Andrew’s Hall on Wednesday. There was a good attendance. Mr F. McGregor was chosen as Chief, and Mr J. W. Mclntyre secretary. Plans were made to hold Inglesides during the winter, and a committee was appointed to draft a constitution. The fortnightly meeting of All Saints’ Club was held last evening, Mr J. B. Ward presiding. After business was disposed of an interesting talk on ‘‘Peace and War” was given by Rev. W. E. Allan Carr.
