TO-MORROW’S ATTRACTION Keen interest is being taken in the revival of boxing at Greymouth, and a full house is expected at the Town Hall, to-morrow night, when Clarrie Rayner, of Blenheim, will defend his featherweight title against the challenge of Percy Hawes, of Westport. Both lads are reported to be in championship condition, and plenty of action is looked forward to, during the bout, which is scheduled for fifteen rounds. Amateur preliminaries will be fought between M. Scandrett and C. Marsh, both of Greymouth; A. Cox (Greymouth) and W. Hawke (Blenheim) ; and W. Hawkins and S. MeKane (Reefton). The main bout will not commence before 9 p.m., thus giving business people an opportunity o£ being present. REEFTON TOURNAMENT. Encouraged by the success of their last tournament, the Reefton, Association have completed arrangements for a clash between Marlborough and West Coast representatives at the Gymnasium Hall on Wednesday, May 1, (race night). Since negotiations commenced, interest has been exhibited by boxing fans throughout the district and the news that arrangements have been finalised for the appearance of the best boxers of the two provinces will be received with satisfaction. Extra expense has been incurred in arranging the bout, but the Association feel they have the support of the people. The box plan is open at Miss Cohen’s, Reefton. BISHOP’S BROKEN RIBS. SYDNEY, April 25. Medical examination of the boxer. Herbert Bishop, after Tuesday night’s fight, revealed three broken ribs, which Bishop attributes mainly to a recent fall.
