HEAVY DAMAGES AWARDED. v (BY CJIBIX —PBEBB ASSN. —COPYRIGHT. 1 (Recd. March 21, 1 p.m.) LONDON, March 20. Damages of £3OOO each were awarded to ex-Detectives Edgar Graham and Ernest Stenning, of the Metropolitan police, who succeeded in a libel action against “John Bull," in which an article written by an exconvict accused them of accepting his bribes, blackmailing him. and conspiring to share his profits.
