[OUE OWN CORRESPONDENT.) REEFTON, March 21. Miss Eva Langley, of Hokitika, has been spending a short holiday m Reefton, visiting her parents. Mr and Mrs T. Watson, sent’., are visiting Dunedin. Mr Aubrey Gow, who was wellknown in Reefton in the early 1900’s, and is mining in Korea, is visiting Reefton. , f Mrs E. Provis-, of Buller Road, is an inmate of Inangahua Hospital. Mr and Mrs S. Barkle, of Progress Junction, who held third prize ticket, valued at £4OO in the Big Prize List Art Union, received a cheque for the amount to-day. The seller of the ticket was presented with a £5 note by Mr and Mrs Barkle. The committee of the Reefton Gymnasium, met on Tuesday evening, Mr I. Patterson presiding. It was resolved that the Council be asked to reduce the water charge in the hall to 6d, weekly, and that they also be asked to concrete the kerbing. Mr T. McKenzie, of the Gymnasium Club attended and gave particulars of the needs of the Club. It was resolved that the Club be granted permission to set up its requirements. Arrangements were settled for hall charges. Mr J. Crossman resigned the' secretaryship, and Mr L. R. Austin was appointed secretary. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded Mr Crossman for his work as, secretary.
