REEFTON, February 27.

Miss Williams, of the staff ,of Millers, Limited, who has been absent from Reefton on relieving duty, has returned.

Misses M. Austin and S. Dobson, who have been on holiday in Canterbury, have returned to Reefton. The Thistle Tennis Club conducted a inock court in the Knox Church social hall last evening, and an amusing time was spent. A number of wellknown residents of the town were charged with offences against the peace, and were convicted and fined by mock court law. ' The Reefton branch of the Women’s Institute held a picnic yesterday at Crushington. The day was fine,but overcast. A large number of Institute members with their families made the trip and had an enjoyable outing. Mrs F. Cate, who fractured an arm some time ago, is slowly recovering. The committee of the Inangahua A. and P. Asociation met on Monday evening, with Mr W. S. Pratt (president) in the chair. Stewards for the yarious sections at the Show were appointed, and members reported on the canvass'of the district allotted to them. All had met with a fairly good response. Members resolved to meet on the grounds each night to finalise show' 1 preparations.
