BOY WITH ONE LUNG
AN OPERATION SUCCESS. A boy from Stratford (London), who had the greater part of his right lung removed at the Royal Waterloo Hospital, is now playing football. An operation, based on facts discovered 2,000 years ago by Egyptian doctors, but applied only recently to modern surgery, was performed on him. A specialist on the staff stated that the loss of a portion of the lung need have no bad effect on a cnild’s subsequent health or development.
