Rata, New Plymouth, January 1. PROJECTED DEPARTURES Parera, Wellington, early. SHIPPING NOTES The Rata leaves Wellington to-mor-row, for Westport and Greymouth. She is due on Tuesday, to load coal for Onakaka and timber for Wellington. The Parera is due this afternoon, from Waikato, to load for Wellington. OTHER PORTS. AUCKLAND, December 28. Arrived, Monowai, on a northern cruise. Sailed, Oromsay, from Wellington. NEW UNION VESSEL. LONDON, December 27. Vickers ’ Armstrong’s, of Barrow, have received an order for a new passenger ship for the Union Steam Ship Company, of New Zealand.
