The British amateur golfers played four-ball matches on the Hokowhitu links this morning. Michael Scott and J. M'Lean beat T. H. Horton and L. Seifert 5 up and 4. L. Barnett and T. Bourne beat K. Glendinning and A. E. Guy, 3 up and 2. The visitors played delightfully attractive- golf. PALMERSTON N., December 24. A feature was T. H. Horton’s round of 67, which was one better than A. J. Shaw’s course record. In the afternoon, T. H. Horton and B. M. Silk beat McLean and Scott 2/1. Guy and Seifert beat Garnett and Bourn 1 up. WELLINGTON, December 24. A. D. S. Duncan won the championship of the Wellington Golf Club, defeating G. P. Roberts over 36 holes by 3/2. This is the twenty-third time the Wellington veteran has secured ,llf! title,. his first victory being in 1896.
