WEATHER FORECAST. General inference: A depression is passing by io the north, but an anticyclone extends’ from the Tasman Sea on to Southern New Zealand. Forecast: Light to moderate and variable winds, with south-easterlies predominating. Weather still mainly fair and warm, but local showers and in places thunder probable. Seas smooth to moderate.
