FIVE DAYS WEEK
ENGLISH. FIRM’S SUCCESS. Messrs. Boots Pure Drug Company have notified their employees at Nottingham that the experimental five-day week without reduction of pay, introduced for the summer months on May 1, has proved so successful that it will bo continued indefinitely. The board’s decision on the matter follows their consideration of a tietailed report drawn up by Sir Richard Redmayne, who was nominated by the Minister of Labour as an independent investigator towards the end of the five-mouth period.
