Lord and Lady Bledisloe left Wellington, this morning, for the Chateau National Park, and will remain there till Friday night, when they go to Auckland. They will be there: during Christina;*:, and the Duke of Gloucester’s visit, and expect to return to Wellington about the middle of January. — Press Assn. Mr J. O’Brien, M.P., returned, yesterday, from Wellington. Miss E. James left by to-day’s express for Christchurch. Mr E. Hill will leave to-morrow, on a holiday visit to Auckland. Mr F. Langstone, M.P., left, this morning, for Christchurch. Mr W. P. Hambleton left to-day, on a holiday visit to Melbourne. Mr J. L. Menzies, Hokitika, was a passenger by this morning’s express to Christchurch. Miss P. Beckworth, Brunner, will leave, to-morrow, on a. holiday visit to Wellington. A London cablegram announced the death of Rear-Admiral Dalgleish, suddenly. The death is announced of Mrs.R. Gould, Glen Iris, Melbourne. She was a sister of Mesdames Braidwood, Hogarth, Hibbs, and Mr J. Royal, of Camerons. Guests at Revington’s include; — Messrs F. S. Barraclough, W. E. Cockroft, R. Chisholm (Christchurch), C. H. Russell (Dunedin), C. S. Neville (Hokitika). A London cablegram stated that the Royal honeymoon had ended. The Duke of Kent motored with his bride to London from Trent Park. They are staying at Buckingham Palace until Saturday, when they will accompany their Majesties to Sandringham.
