OPERA HOUSE—TO-NIGHT. “Madame Spy” and “After Tonight,” two first-class features,, will be screened to-night. WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY. The big attraction on Wednesday and Thursday, “That’s a Good Girl,” is based upon the famous stage success. The story introduces Jack Barrow, played by Jack Buchanan — an impecunious young man-about-town dunned by creditors and besieged by bailiffs, who suddenly hears that he can claim half-a-million pounds in the South of France from an aunt he has never seen. The one stipulation is that he must take with him, when he 'goes to claim the money, seme attractive and distinguished young men, to protect Aunt Helen’s ward, Moya, who also inherits half a million, from the attentions of fortune-hunting gigolos. Jack Buchanan is supported by a first-class cast, including Elsie Randolph, Vera Pearce, Garry Marsh, William Kendall, Dorothy Cutler, Anthony Holies and Frank Stanmore. A Centenary Air Race news reel will be an added attraction. At Wallsend to-night “Paddy the Next Best Thing,” will be screened, and at Runanga to-night, “Cleaning Up” will be screened. < WOMEN’S MINSTREL TROUPE. A reminder is given of the “W.I. Coons,” an all-women’s Minstrel Troupe’s performance at the Town Hall, to-night. In addition to the Minstrel first part of the Show, several specialty acts will be presented during the second part of the programme. The proceeds arc in aid of a deserving charity.

GYMNASTIC DISPLAY. Referring to the display of gymnastics given at Reefton by the Westport Club, which will make their final appearance for the season at Greymouth on Thursday evening, a press correspondent commented as follows: — ‘•Westport may well be proud of the performance pf their clever and versatile Gymnastic Club and ,the supporting grtists. They were greeted ' at the Criterion Theatre by a capacity house. In fact, the overflowing audience improvised stands themselves outside the windows and enjoyed two and a-ha'lf hours’ delightful entertainment. Throughout the programme both the fair members of the club and their male associates reflected credit on themselves and their instructors.” The Club has packed the Theatre Royal, Westport, for two nights, and they have also been given full houses wherever they made their appearance. The Club has prepared a special programme for Greymouth, and many new attractions have been added. No pains have been spared to cater for all tastes.
