Miss Dorothy Thwaites left this morning, on a holiday visit to Christchurch and Oamaru,. and will visit Auckland before returning to Greymouth.

The death is announced from Melbourne of Mr. E. Lee Neil, Managing Director of the Myer Emporium, at the age of 62. His illness began within, a few days of his death. He recently was Governing-Director of the Sidney Myer firm.

Mr F. R. Harman, Secretary of the South Island Motor Union, a director of the Pioneer Sports Club, Christchurch, is in a serious condition .with fractured ribs and head injuries, as the result 6f a fall from a bicycle, while riding near his home at Opawa on Sunday afternoon. —Press Assn.

The death occurred, after a.' long illness, at Devonport, Auckland, on Sunday morning, of Emily R. Harper, relict of Raymond Harper, formerly of Greymouth. Deceased, who was the fourth daughter of the late •Mr . and Mrs W. I. Richards, was a native of Kumara, and was 47 years, of age. She is survived by two daughters, also three sisters (Mcsdames Skilton (Christchurch), W. Andrews and G. Carruthers (Nelson) and three brothers, W. E. Richards (Hokitika), F. C. Richards (Blenheim) and Percy (Stratford).
