With the thermometer in the region of the seventies, conditions at Greymouth are eminently favourable for surf-bathers, and the beach was well patronised yesterday, while other resorts in the district also had their quota of swimmers. To-day, the penalty of over-exposure to the sun is being paid, and in many instances it is a case of “Keep your distance.” Lobster shade, with or without blisters, is fashionable, but not to say popular, while there has been a mild “run” on remedies for sunburn.
