EVENTS AT PARK. _Four cycle races, and a girls’ relay race were conducted by the Grey-mouth-Uhited Cycling Club at Victoria Park last evening, before an improved attendance. The racing was keen and Interesting, and finishes -were good. Results:—• Quarter-mile .Cycle: D. Johnston 40yds 1, J. Daniels 10yds 2, P. Duffy scr. 3. Also competed: J. Larking 15, L. Hogarth 20, D. Morland 35, R. Daniels 40, R. Lewis 50, J. Archer 50, J. Taylor 55. Two lengths each way. Time 33 2-ssecs. Junior Half-mile Cycle: J. Taylor 90yds 1, D. Johnston 15yds 2, A. Colville 80yds 3. Also competed: D. Morland scr., J. Archer 40, M. Malone 45, I. Baker 90, G. Fairhall 90. Won by three lengths, a wheel. Time 1.10 2-5. Basketball Relay: Technical Old Girls 1, Elaketown 2, Grey Main 3. Won by two yards. Time 2min 3 4-5 secs, Two Mile Cycle: J. Daniels 70yds 1, D. Johnston 220yds 2, L. Hogarth 100yds 3. Also competed: P. Duffy scf„ J. Larking 85, D. Morland 220, R. Daniels 220, R. Lewis 270, J. Archer 270, A. Colville 320, J. Taylor 320. Won by two lengths; one length. Time 4.54 4-5. Ladies’ Half-mile Cycle: F. Harvey 1, B. Dixon 2, G. Pentecost 3. Also competed: V. McGiri; (fell). Two lengths each way. Time 1.31.
