OPERA HOUSE—TO-NIGHT. All interested in Highland Pipe Band music are invited to attend the monster Pipe Band contest at Rugby Park on Saturday. Six prominent bands with a membership of over one hundred and twenty players will take part in a contest programme, which includes many classic and soul-stirring compositions by the best-known composers of Highland music. Prior to the coinmencement the bands will assemble at the Band Rotunda, and march at five minute intervals through the principal streets to Rugby Park, where the massed bands will render appropriate selections. At the conclusion of the contest, a grand Scottish concert, commencing at 8 p.in. Will be .presented by visiting and local artists, and it is safe to predict that both functions will be largely attended by lovers of Scotch music from all parts of the West Coast.
