PAYROLL STOLEN
PEPPER AND GUN USED. [BY CABLE —PRESS ASSN. —COPYRIGHT.] SYDNEY, November 9. While carrying bags of money and tho pay roll for a local department store at Darlinghurst to-day, two men were attacked by bandits. Pepper was thrown in their eyes. A shot was also fired. The bandits escaped in a waiting motor car. The victims of the outrage- were George Oakman, aged 66 years, and Leslie Klyb, aged 44. Oakman was shot in the groin. The pair were taken to hospital. They are in no danger, but they are suffering intense pain from the pepper.
