The number of persons enrolled through Australia for to-morrows elections is 3,906.092, compared with 3,652,196 enrolled at the 1931 elections. CENTENARY FINANCE MELBOURNE, September 14. The Chairman of the Finance Committee (Councillor Nettlefold) stated that the proposed gross expenditure oi the Centenary Council was £lO2, Joj, and the estimated return £19,250. MANAGER CHARGED. MELBOURNE. September 1.->. Charged with having defrauded certain persons in New Zealand ot £14.000, Charles Ernest Vickers, company manager was to-day remanded until an escort has arrived from New Zealand The police informed the Court that Vickers was arrested as he was about to sail for Singapore. He was granted bail, conditionally upon his reporting to the Detective Office daily until his escort arrived.
