3ZR PROGRAMMES.

[TO THE EDITOR.] I Sir', —Allow me a small space to give my views on the programmes presented by Station 3ZR. The request programme on Thursday evenings and the children’s session conducted by Sambo and Uncle Mick are one of the finest on the broadcast band. 3ZR has done wonderful service for the West Coast listeners, and I think if the power of 3ZR was increased to 500 watts, many more listeners on the Coast would give their spare pennies and sixpences towards the upkeep of 3ZR. I think the listeners who complain from time to time in the newspapers about tlie programmes from 3ZR must hear in mind that this station receives no revenue from its listeners, only a small subsidy from the Broadcasting Board, which is not sufficient to pay for high class programmes such as we get from the YA stations, so I think every listener must appreciate what we get for nothing.—Yours etc., 500 WATTS.
