WRESTLING. [PIB PRISS ASSOCIATION.] AUCKLAND, May 14. The second match of the wrestling season at the Auckland Town Hall tonight was much more lively and full of action than that of the previous week. The competitors were Fred Meyer and Charles Santen, two recent, arrivals from America. Meyer won by two fails to one. Both falls were gained by submissions to hammerlocks, whereas Santen pinned his opponent alter an aeroplane spin ami a slain. Moyer's falls were gained in the third ami sixth rounds, while Santen secured his in the fifth. Rough methods were used by both throughout, but the crowd, which was not as large as usual, was definitely on Santen’s side. He was loudly cheered for employing tactics which brought storms of hooting to Meyer.

BADMINTON CLUB. The St. John’s Badminton Club held their annual meeting, Mr L. F. Anderson presiding over a good attendance. The annual report and balance-sheet were read and adopted. The election of officers resulted: —Patron, Mr D. Tennent (re-elected); President, Rev. If. R. Fell (re-elected); vice-presi-dent, Mr C. Gu,nn; secretary, Mr V. Stevens; treasurer, Mr L. F. Anderson (re-oltced); auditor. Miss C. Brown (re-elected); club captain, Mr V. Stevens (re-elected); committee: Miss C. Tennent, Mrs 0. McLean, Mr C. Gunn, Mr G, Beynon; selection committee: Messrs V. Stevens, L. Anderson and Thompson. It was decided that games be played on Tuesday and Saturday nights, and on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons; that members provide shuttlecocks, the Club to provide live racquets and other playing equipment. Votes of thanks for assistance and donations were passed to Messrs Hutchison, Stevens, D. Tennent and Miss C. Tennent.
