N.S.W. MINISTER
VICTIM OF HOAXES. SYDNEY, May Attempts have been made by some . persons to cause annoyance to the ■ Minister for Works and Health (Mr Weaver) by practical jokes. During the past few days goods have been delivered at Mr AVeaver’s private residence addressed to “Mr Spinner.” Mr AVeaver had not ordered the goods. j An undertaker called on Tuesday evening for the body of “Mr Spinner.” but Mr AVeaver stated last night jokingly that he could not deliver the body as at that time he was at Parliament House. Goods delivered included a load of
coal. A man called to repair the wireless, and another to instal an organ. Mr AVeaver said last night that he desired to warn tradesmen against supplying goods to the flat where he resided without first making inquiries. Early yesterday morning Mr AVeaver rose from his bed to answer a telephone call and he was subjected to abuse.
