RUGBY FOOTBALL
LAKE BRUNNER SUB-DIVISION. A meeting of the Lake Brunner Rugby Sub-Division was held at Moana on Thursday night, Mr T. Lowe (president) being in the chair. Delegates present: Messrs F. Daniel, T. Soulhorn, J. Hibbs, A. Johnston, J. Taaffe, V. Reid’, C. Kennedy. S. Kinraid, and the secretary, C. James. A. Johnston applied for a transfer
from Taylorville to Ruru, which was granted, subject to the approval of the Taylorville Cuub. Messrs T. G. McCullough, J. Hibbs and J. Gordon were appointed selectors. The representative team to play Greymouth at Te Kinga on May 20, to he selected on Monday next. Mr S. Kinraid was appointed manager of the representative team. Mr F. Stott ■was appointed referee. It was decided to endeavour to arrange a match as a. curtain-raiser between the second fifteen and a team
from Greymcuth, Mr J. Gordon to be manager and Mr Satherley referee if the match eventuates. Mr V. Reid' was appointed manager of the fourth grade team to play Cobden at Te Kinga on Sunday. Mr Dickinson is to referee the match. It was decided to purchase seventeen new jerseys.
