GUARANTEE TO BANK. SYDNEY, April 19

An action has been commenced ill the Supreme Court, at Sydney, by the Bank of New Zealand, against Mr. John Wren, of Melbourne, the investor, in which the bank claims £15,225 in respect of a guarantee. The plaintiff bank alleges that the money was advanced to A. C. Cooke, Ltd., on Mr Wren’s guarantee, and that the whole sum, plus interest now due, has not been paid . Wren denies the effect of the guarantee, and he contends that the Bank, without his consent, advanced to A. C. Cooke, Ltd., an amount in excess of the sum originally stipulated, which is the subject of the cross action by Wreh. The suit is part heard.
