[TO THE EDITOR.] Sir—A monthly report of the Alexander Gold Mines appeared in your paper, in which it was stated that the miners were asking’ for a ten per cent increase on their wages. The above statement may be misleading to the general public. The demands of the miners are for the restoration of the ten per cent cut at the Alexander Gold Mine, something they had in 1931 when gold was £4 per ounce, and to-day, gold is selling at £B. I will leave it to your readers, whether the demands are reasonable or not. — I am etc.,
