HOKITIKA NOTES
[OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.! The funeral of the late Alex. Cowie took place on Saturday morning, when a large number of friends attended, including brethren of the Freemasons’ and Druids’ Lodges, of which he was a member. Rev. G. A. Naylor conducted the funeral rites of the Presbyterian Church, Wor. Bros. H. Park and H. J. W. Knights of Westland Kilwinning Masonic Lodge, and A. D. Bro. Lock of the Druids’ Lodge. Floral tokens of sympathy were sent from numerous friends. The body of the late Muir King arrived in Hokitika from Wellington on Saturday morning, and the funeral took place at 11 o’clock. The Rev. G. A. Naylor conducted the service.
