RUGBY FOOTBALL
BLAKETOWN CLUB MEETING. The annual general meeting of the Blaketown Rugby Football Club was held in the Blaketown Hall yesterday. The President, Mr J. E. Joyce, presided over an attendance of about forty-five members. The annual report and balance sheet were read and adopted. The annual report covered the Club’s activities for the past season, mention being made of the winning of the Fourth Grade Championship, by the Blaketown Fourths, and in his remarks on the annual report, the President congratulated the Club on the performance of the senior and junior teams, and expressed the hope that, with more attention to training, the efforts of tlie teams would be rewarded during the coming season. It was decided to enter four teams in the competition, senior, junior, third and fourth, and that the gymnasium opens next Tuesday evening. The election of officers resulted: Patron, Mr G. R.
