Griffiths’ stables at 2.30 this morning destroyed the racehorses Mana Gift and White Fang. Three other horses in the building were removed to safety, but two of them, Tareha and Limbohm, were slightly injured. Griffiths was slightly burnt in trying to save his charges. There was no insurance on the horses nor the building. TRAINER’S APPEAL UPHELD. (Recd. March 17, 11.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, March 17. S. W. Biggins, a prominent trainer, appealed to the A.J.C. against the life disqualification imposed at Cootamundra in January last, in connection with the Erbie case.
