MOSLEM’S PILGRIMAGE
PRAYER AT EVERY FIVE PACES
CALCUTTA, March fl. Shah Sultan Ahmed, a Moslem saint, known as “The King of Strivers after Happiness,” has taken a year io walk from Allahabad to Cawnpore, a distance of 200 miles, in the course of a pilgrimage to the sacred city of Mecca. The saint’s slow progress is due to the fact that after every five paces he stops and offers prayers to God for enabling him to take the pious journey. Ahmed is continuing his 5000 miles pilgrimage, which, according to his present rate of progress, will take 30 years.
